The facelifted Alfa Romeo Stelvio Quadrifoglio 2.9 V6 exhaust in detail.

Since its 2023 facelift, the Stelvio Quadrifoglio has kept the 2.9-litre twin-turbo V6 born of Maranello’s expertise, raised to 520 hp and 600 Nm. This is the model this page covers: the 2016 to 2018 Giulia Quadrifoglio has its own, as does the Stelvio 2.0 Turbo. Your SUV’s VIN lets us check compatibility of the facelifted Stelvio before starting manufacturing.

An SUV with more than 500 hp that stays discreet: that is the effect of the standard exhaust, which holds back most of this V6’s hoarse, brassy grain. With the valved Rog cat-back and the valves open, the engine rumbles, climbs with a howl and punctuates lift-offs with crisp bangs. With the valves closed, it becomes a family vehicle again, as close as possible to its original sound.

No welding is needed: clamps, gaskets and about two hours on a lift. The factory valve control is retained if the Stelvio has one, otherwise the Rog remote takes over. As the “Manifold” option, the page offers the downpipe, which carries the catalytic converter: on its own it adds no horsepower, just sound and a little weight saving, whereas with an ECU remap the published Stage 2 figures reach 588 hp and 735 Nm. On this facelifted SUV, emissions control stays active with the 200-cell version, a 100-cell will be accepted or not depending on the vehicle and your country’s rules, and the decat version is reserved for track use, far from family journeys. Titanium or 304 stainless steel: the former weighs around 40% less and comes in brushed, gold or purple, around four round tailpipes.

Questions about the Alfa Romeo Stelvio Quadrifoglio 2.9 V6 exhaust.

Is a Stelvio Quadrifoglio V6 from before the 2023 facelift compatible?

This page is for the facelifted Stelvio Quadrifoglio, from 2023 onwards. For an earlier version, we cannot confirm that the system is identical: send us your VIN and we will check before any manufacturing.

Does the Stelvio Quadrifoglio’s V6 2.9 need an ECU remap?

Not for the cat-back: the V6 keeps its map and its 520 hp. To go further, the downpipe followed by an ECU remap at an approved tuner opens the way to the 588 hp and 735 Nm published for Stage 2.

What should I plan for at vehicle inspection with a modified Stelvio Quadrifoglio V6?

Closed valves, first of all: the SUV returns to a volume close to stock. A 200-cell downpipe, like the original part, keeps the catalytic converter active. The 100-cell is judged according to the car and the country; the decat variant belongs on the track only.

How are the valves controlled on the Stelvio Quadrifoglio 2.9 V6?

If the SUV has factory valves, its drive modes stay in charge, with no added electronics. Otherwise, choose the Rog remote: a discreet box in the boot, two buttons, and opening is decided at any time.

Alfa Romeo Stelvio Quadrifoglio 2.9 V6: Does a valved exhaust system drone?

No. With the valves closed, the gases flow through the whole rear silencer and the cabin stays calm at a steady speed. Our Rog exhausts are designed to avoid drone. Learn more: Why our systems stay calm on the motorway.

Alfa Romeo Stelvio Quadrifoglio 2.9 V6: straight pipe or resonator?

On this model, two characters at the same price: the straight pipe for the raw sound of your engine, unfiltered, or the resonator for a rounder and slightly softer voice. Either way, the exhaust stays fully sporty. Learn more: Exhaust resonator: what does it do? Straight pipe or resonator, which sound to choose.
