The Mercedes-AMG E43 W213 / S213 exhaust in detail.
The E43 W213’s M276 is a 3.0-litre twin-turbo V6 reworked by AMG to reach 401 hp and 520 Nm, sent to all four wheels by the 4MATIC drive. Generous, early torque and reassuring traction in all weathers: it is the discreet AMG of the E-Class, produced from 2016 to 2018 in the version covered by this page.
A V6 does not have the voice of an inline-six. The M276’s is rougher: a deep rumble, slightly irregular at idle, which hardens markedly when you accelerate. As standard, the saloon remains impeccably polite, sometimes frustratingly so. With the valves open, the Rog cat-back gives it a more present start-up, full acceleration and livelier deceleration; with the valves closed, it becomes the E-Class of business trips again.
Built to your VIN, the system fits without welding, with clamps and gaskets, in about two hours. The factory valve control stays active if your E43 has one; otherwise, the Rog remote. The inline-six E53 and the V8 E63 have their own page, as does the GLE43 W166 that shares this V6.
With two turbos, the downpipe is the biggest restriction after the silencer; the page sells it under the “Manifold” option. With a 200-cell converter, it leaves emissions control untouched; in 100-cell form, acceptance depends on the vehicle and your country’s rules; the decat variant is reserved for track use. It only adds power when combined with an ECU remap. 304 stainless steel suits the V6’s gruff tone, and titanium lightens the system by around 40%.

Questions about the Mercedes-AMG E43 W213 / S213 3.0 V6 biturbo exhaust.
I own an E43 W213 registered in 2019: is this system meant for it?
We document it for the 2016 to 2018 E43 W213, cat-back as well as front section. For a more recent car, nothing is confirmed to date: the VIN lets us check before starting the system.
What gain can the E43 W213 hope for once remapped?
The table on the page goes from 401 hp and 520 Nm to 466 hp and 630 Nm in Stage 2, downpipe included. The M276 keeps a reserve that the tuner exploits through boost, injection and ignition. None of this is required for the rear system alone.
On vehicle inspection day, how should an E43 W213 fitted with the Rog system be presented?
Presented with the valves closed, with the cat-back alone or a 200-cell downpipe, it keeps a factory sound level and its emissions control. If you opted for the 100-cell, be aware that it is accepted or not depending on the vehicle and your country’s rules. The decat downpipe, for its part, is reserved for track use, and therefore irrelevant for an inspection.
Does the E43 W213 keep its drive modes to control the valves?
If the saloon has them from the factory, yes: the exhaust connects to the existing control. You can also choose the Rog remote, which ignores the selected mode and responds at the press of a button.
Does the E43 S213 estate take the same system as the saloon?
Yes. The W213 saloon and the S213 estate take the same Rog system: same chassis, same twin-turbo V6, same clamp-and-gasket fitting. Your VIN is only used to confirm the version and model year before manufacturing.
Mercedes-AMG E43 W213 / S213 3.0 V6 biturbo: Does a valved exhaust system drone?
No. With the valves closed, the gases flow through the whole rear silencer and the cabin stays calm at a steady speed. Our Rog exhausts are designed to avoid drone. Learn more: Why our systems stay calm on the motorway.

The Mercedes-AMG E43 W213 / S213, produced from 2016 to 2018, slips a 401 hp, 520 Nm 3.0 biturbo V6 into the elegant silhouette of the E-Class. All of this makes for a fast, discreet saloon, perhaps too discreet: its...
