The Porsche 911 Carrera 992.1 exhaust in detail.
This page covers the first-phase 911 Carrera of the 992 generation, built from 2019 to 2021, with its 3.0-litre twin-turbo flat-six: 385 hp and 450 Nm. The 911 GT3, GT3 RS and Turbo S of the same generation each have their own system and their own page, and your VIN lets us check compatibility before manufacturing.
Rear-mounted flat engine, short and direct exhaust: on a 911, every exhaust change can be heard straight away. The metallic, hoarse timbre of the flat-six, the most recognisable in the automotive world, is nevertheless muted by the filters and silencers required by the standards. With the valves open, our cat-back restores its presence from idle, with harmonics that rise with the revs and crisp crackles on the overrun. With the valves closed, the discretion of the stock Carrera is preserved.
No welding, no cutting: band clamps, gaskets and about two hours on a lift. If your Carrera has factory valves, the system connects to their control and the Porsche drive modes decide; otherwise the Rog remote opens and closes them at the press of a button, regardless of the mode selected.
On this 3.0 twin-turbo, the front section that follows the turbos contains the catalytic converters, and it is the part that restricts the most: this page offers it under the “Manifold” option. With 200 cells, the Carrera keeps cleaning its exhaust; the 100-cell and the version without a catalytic converter give up that level. On a car with a stock ECU, the benefit is in sound and weight; with an ECU remap, this twin-turbo takes a real step up. The system comes in 304 stainless steel or in titanium, around 40% lighter for the same design, in brushed, gold or purple.

Questions about the Porsche 911 Carrera 3.0 type 992.1 exhaust.
Does this system fit a 911 GT3 or Turbo S 992?
No: it is designed for the Carrera 3.0 type 992.1. The GT3, GT3 RS and Turbo S of the same generation have their own pages. If you are unsure about your version, send us the VIN and we will settle it before manufacturing.
Does a Carrera 992.1 with this system need an ECU remap?
Not with the cat-back alone, which leaves the engine and ECU untouched. If you also change the front section, an ECU remap at an approved tuner makes the difference: at Stage 2, the published figures for the Carrera 992.1 reach 490 hp and 660 Nm.
Can the 911 with this system be presented for vehicle inspection?
With the valves closed, the 911 keeps its factory discretion, and that is how it should be presented at vehicle inspection. Emissions control is maintained with the cat-back alone or the 200-cell front section. With the 100-cell, acceptance depends on the car and the country; in decat form, the Carrera belongs on the track.
Can the 911’s factory valves be kept?
If your Carrera has them, yes: the system takes over their control and the drive modes stay in charge, with no added electronics. Otherwise, the Rog remote takes care of it, with a discreet box in the boot.
What is the lead time for a 911 Carrera 992.1 system?
20 working days from order confirmation to delivery, custom manufacturing included. Free delivery, insured right to your door, then around two hours in the workshop for fitting.
Coupé, convertible or Targa: does the 911 Carrera 3.0 992.1 take the same system?
Yes. On the 911 Carrera 3.0 992.1, coupé, convertible and Targa 4 / 4S share the flat-six and the same Rog system, fitted with clamps and gaskets. Your VIN is only used to confirm the version and model year before manufacturing.
Porsche 911 Carrera 3.0 type 992.1: Does a valved exhaust system drone?
No. With the valves closed, the gases flow through the whole rear silencer and the cabin stays calm at a steady speed. Our Rog exhausts are designed to avoid drone. Learn more: Why our systems stay calm on the motorway.
