Configuration
Porsche 911 GT3 RS 992.1 4.0 Valved Exhaust System (2022+)
Valves
Operated by remote control, factory-paired.
Estimated at 0.50 m from the outlet, 45°, 2,000 rpm with a warm engine. Allow ± 2 dB depending on the engine and measuring point. A 3 dB difference is audible in a direct comparison; 10 dB sounds roughly twice as loud.

The Porsche 911 GT3 RS 992.1 exhaust in detail.
525 hp without forced induction, a flat-six developed by the Motorsport department in Weissach and prototype-grade active aerodynamics: the 992.1 GT3 RS is the most radical 911 ever offered for the road. On an RS, the exhaust becomes an instrument in its own right, not a mere accessory. Our page covers the 992.1 GT3 RS built since 2022; the 992.1 GT3 has its own system, and we use your VIN to check compatibility before manufacturing.
Metallic and furious, this engine peaks beyond 8,000 rpm, and the 17.05 kg stock system stifles part of what it has to say. With the valves open, the Rog cat-back reduces back pressure and frees the high harmonics, with more presence throughout the rev range; with the valves closed, the RS remains usable on the open road without fatigue.
The page offers the manifolds, with their catalytic converter, under the “Manifold” option. On this 4.0-litre naturally aspirated engine, the gain is there but stays modest, 3 to 8%, and assumes an ECU remap: the published Stage 2 figures are 560 hp and 510 Nm. With 200 cells, the RS keeps treating its emissions.
Fitting with band clamps and gaskets, no welding, about two hours on a lift: nothing irreversible on a car of this value. Factory valves retained, or the Rog remote if the car has none. Titanium, around 40% lighter than 304 stainless steel for the same design, suits the RS spirit well and comes in brushed, gold or purple.

Questions about the Porsche 911 GT3 RS 4.0 type 992.1 exhaust.
My GT3 RS is a 992.2: does this page apply?
No, the page is limited to the 992.1 GT3 RS, built since 2022, and our data does not allow it to be extended to the next phase. Send us your VIN: we will tell you what is possible before any manufacturing.
A remapped GT3 RS with sports manifolds: how far can it go?
At Stage 2, our data shows 560 hp and 510 Nm, barely 35 hp more than the stock RS. On an engine already pushed this far, the margin remains narrow; the cat-back on its own works with the factory map.
Vehicle inspection: does a modified GT3 RS have to go back to its factory exhaust?
Not necessarily: with the valves closed, it arrives with a voice close to standard. Factory or 200-cell manifolds: emissions control is intact. 100-cell manifolds will be judged according to the vehicle and your country’s rules, which accept them or not; a decat RS is reserved for track use, which it knows well.
For a GT3 RS, should titanium be the preferred choice?
On a car that chases every last kilo, titanium, around 40% lighter for the same design, is often the obvious choice, with a more crystalline note at high revs. 304 stainless steel, rounder, remains a solid choice for an RS that covers a lot of road miles.
Porsche 911 GT3 RS 4.0 type 992.1: Does a valved exhaust system drone?
No. With the valves closed, the gases flow through the whole rear silencer and the cabin stays calm at a steady speed. Our Rog exhausts are designed to avoid drone. Learn more: Why our systems stay calm on the motorway.
