The Porsche 911 Carrera S / 4S 991.2 exhaust in detail.
With the 991.2, the Carrera S and 4S turned a page: the naturally aspirated flat-six gave way to a 3.0-litre twin-turbo, one turbo per cylinder bank, with 420 hp and 500 Nm. The torque arrives much earlier, with rear-wheel drive on the S and all-wheel drive on the 4S. The page covers the 2016 to 2018 model years; the 991.2 Turbo S has its own system, and your VIN confirms yours before manufacturing.
Purists know the trade-off: the turbos absorb part of the pulses, and the factory exhaust finishes filtering the voice. With the valves open, the Rog cat-back brings back bite, a gravelly start-up, a clearer climb through the revs, and that sound reminding you the engine is behind you. With the valves closed, the 911 stays an everyday sports car, discreet in town as on the motorway.
On this twin-turbo, the front part is a downpipe, with its catalytic converter, offered under the “Manifold” option. It is the main restriction after the silencer, and the only lever for power, provided it is remapped: the page publishes 494 hp and 651 Nm at Stage 2 for the Carrera S. Without a map, sound and a little less weight; among the sports downpipes, only the 200-cell one keeps emissions control.
About two hours on a lift, clamps and gaskets, no welding. Factory valves retained with the drive modes, otherwise the Rog remote. The choice of material stays open: 304 stainless steel, full and robust, or titanium around 40% lighter for the same design, in brushed, gold or purple, with three tip finishes, from chrome to blued titanium.

Questions about the Porsche 911 Carrera S / 4S 3.0 type 991.2 exhaust.
My 991.2 is a base Carrera: does this S / 4S system suit it?
Our page refers specifically to the 2016 to 2018 Carrera S and 4S 991.2, without covering every Carrera. For another version, send us the VIN: we check before building, rather than assuming.
Downpipe and map on a Carrera S 991.2: what result?
For the Carrera S, our page lists 494 hp and 651 Nm at Stage 2, 74 hp more than the standard 420 hp. The ECU remap also recalibrates the post-cat sensor; the cat-back alone, for its part, works without any tuning.
Porsche 911 Carrera S / 4S 991.2 3.0 biturbo with a Rog exhaust: what should you know about vehicle inspection?
Close the valves for the test. With the original downpipe or its 200-cell version, emissions control remains that of the stock car. A 100-cell downpipe is accepted or not depending on the car and the rules in your country, and the decat variant belongs on the track only, the use it is reserved for.
What is the lead time for a 911 Carrera S 991.2 system?
20 working days from confirmation of your order to delivery: each system is built to the VIN you send, then inspected and shipped free of charge, with tracking from dispatch.
Coupé, convertible or Targa: does the 911 Carrera S and 4S 3.0 991.2 take the same system?
Yes. On the 911 Carrera S and 4S 3.0 991.2, coupé, convertible and Targa 4S share the flat-six and the same Rog system, fitted with clamps and gaskets. Your VIN is only used to confirm the version and model year before manufacturing.
Porsche 911 Carrera S / 4S 3.0 type 991.2: Does a valved exhaust system drone?
No. With the valves closed, the gases flow through the whole rear silencer and the cabin stays calm at a steady speed. Our Rog exhausts are designed to avoid drone. Learn more: Why our systems stay calm on the motorway.

Porsche 911 Carrera S / 4S type 991.2: the biturbo era, the exhaust system guide
With the 991.2 generation, the 911 Carrera S and 4S turned a page in their history: the naturally aspirated flat-six made way for a 3.0-litre biturbo with 420 hp. Fuller at the bottom end, more efficient, but also more muted,...
