The Porsche Cayenne 958 exhaust in detail.
The Cayenne 958, produced from 2010 to 2017, has become the bargain of the segment: reliable, fast and now very affordable. Its page gives 300 hp and 400 Nm as the reference figure; as the generation had several engines, we check your VIN before manufacturing to choose the right system. The first Cayenne 955 / 957 and the 9YA have their own systems.
A valved exhaust is the modification that changes its everyday character the most, without sacrificing family comfort. With the valves open, the Rog cat-back gives the 958 a rewarding sound, deep under load, with crackles on lift-off; with the valves closed, it becomes the quiet SUV of holiday departures again. This is particularly welcome on an SUV you keep for a long time and use for everything.
Under the “Manifold” option, the page sells the catalysed front part, a downpipe or manifold depending on your Cayenne’s engine. With an ECU remap, our page publishes 415 hp and 540 Nm at Stage 2; without one, the effect is on sound and weight. Taken in 200-cell form, the part keeps emissions control.
In the workshop, the 958 needs no welding or cutting: about two hours on a lift, with clamps and gaskets. Factory valves retained with their control, or the Rog remote if the 958 has none. If you are unsure about the material, 304 stainless steel remains the choice for SUVs driven through winter, titanium the choice for lightness, around 40% less weight for the same design, in brushed, gold or purple; four round tips, in chrome, gloss black or blued titanium, finish the system.

Questions about the Porsche Cayenne 958 exhaust.
My Cayenne 958 is an S or a GTS: does the page apply to me?
The 958 page runs from 2010 to 2017, but it does not specify the versions covered beyond its 300 hp figure. For an S as for a GTS, we check the right system and front part by VIN.
How much can a Cayenne 958 gain with a sport front section and an ECU remap?
With the sport front part and a full map, our page takes the 958 to 415 hp and 540 Nm in Stage 2. Without the front part, the cat-back needs no map at all.
What should be kept on a Cayenne 958 for the vehicle inspection?
With the valves closed, it becomes as discreet as it was from the factory. The factory or 200-cell front part keeps emissions control; a 100-cell version will be accepted or not depending on the vehicle and your country’s rules, and a decat 958 is reserved for track use.
With the family on board, does a modified Cayenne 958 stay relaxing?
Yes, as soon as the valves are closed: the flow passes through the silencer chambers and the 958 stays hushed at a constant speed. You alone open the valves, when the road and the passengers allow.
Porsche Cayenne 958: Does a valved exhaust system drone?
No. With the valves closed, the gases flow through the whole rear silencer and the cabin stays calm at a steady speed. Our Rog exhausts are designed to avoid drone. Learn more: Why our systems stay calm on the motorway.
Porsche Cayenne 958: straight pipe or resonator?
On this model, two characters at the same price: the straight pipe for the raw sound of your engine, unfiltered, or the resonator for a rounder and slightly softer voice. Either way, the exhaust stays fully sporty. Learn more: Exhaust resonator: what does it do? Straight pipe or resonator, which sound to choose.
