The Porsche Cayenne E3 9YA / 9YB 3.0 exhaust in detail.
The third-generation Cayenne, type 9YA, gets a 3.0-litre turbocharged V6 in its entry version: 340 hp and 450 Nm, then 353 hp and 500 Nm after the facelift, on cars built since 2019. The twin-turbo V6 Cayenne S, the GTS and the V8 Turbo each have their own page; your VIN lets us check compatibility before manufacturing.
Tuned for versatility, this engine offers ever-present torque and remarkable flexibility, so much so that the car is acoustically absent. Yet a Porsche, even a family one, carries a sound heritage. With the valves open, the Rog cat-back gives it back a deep, muscular tone under load, with crisp crackles on the overrun; with the valves closed, the factory silence is preserved, for the school run as well as the motorway.
Under the “Manifold” option, the page offers the downpipe, the catalysed pipe that starts at the turbo. It only brings power with an ECU remap; without one, expect sound and a few kilos less. Fitted in 200-cell form, it lets the Cayenne control emissions as it did from the factory.
Under this large SUV, fitting remains simple and reversible: clamps, gaskets, no welding, about two hours on a lift. The valves follow the factory control when the Cayenne has one, otherwise the Rog remote, from inside the cabin or outside. 304 stainless steel shrugs off winters, titanium removes around 40% of the weight for the same design and comes in brushed, gold or purple; the tips are available in chrome, gloss black or blued titanium.

Questions about the Porsche Cayenne E3 9YA / 9YB 3.0 V6 turbo exhaust.
Is my 353 hp facelifted Cayenne 9YA covered by this page?
Yes, the page covers the 3.0-litre turbo V6 before and after the facelift, from 340 to 353 hp, on cars built since 2019. The VIN, supplied with the order, confirms your version before manufacturing.
Does the Cayenne 3.0 downpipe require an ECU remap?
To extract power from it, yes: the map exploits the freed-up flow and recalibrates the post-cat sensor. We do not quote a Stage 2 figure for this version; the cat-back alone, for its part, works without any tuning.
Porsche Cayenne E3 9YA V6 3.0 turbo with a Rog exhaust: what should you know about vehicle inspection?
Nothing is promised in advance, but with the valves closed it regains the discretion of a standard SUV. As long as the factory downpipe or its 200-cell version is fitted, the Cayenne cleans its gases as on delivery. With the 100-cell, acceptance depends on the vehicle and your country’s rules; in decat form, the Cayenne falls under use reserved for the track, rarely its own.
With children on board, does the Cayenne 9YA stay relaxing?
Yes, as soon as the valves are closed: the flow passes through the silencer chambers, and the Cayenne’s cabin stays as calm as from the factory on the motorway. You open them yourself, at the wheel, when the road and the passengers allow.
Does the Cayenne Coupé 9YB take the same system as the SUV?
Yes. The Cayenne 9YA and the Cayenne Coupé 9YB take the same Rog system, with the same 3.0 turbo V6 and the same fitting. Your VIN is only used to confirm the version and model year before manufacturing.
Porsche Cayenne E3 9YA / 9YB 3.0 V6 turbo: Does a valved exhaust system drone?
No. With the valves closed, the gases flow through the whole rear silencer and the cabin stays calm at a steady speed. Our Rog exhausts are designed to avoid drone. Learn more: Why our systems stay calm on the motorway.
