The Porsche Cayenne S 9YA / 9YB exhaust in detail.
The Cayenne S 9YA brings Porsche sportiness to a large SUV format: a 2.9-litre V6 with its two turbos housed in the centre of the V, 440 hp and 550 Nm, with torque available over a very wide range. This compact layout shortens the gas path and aids response. Our page covers the 2018 to 2023 model years; the 2024 V8 Cayenne S is not covered by this system.
Gruffer and more eager than a V8, with a hard, metallic note under acceleration, this V6 is, from the factory, only a distant background noise drowned out by tyre roar. With the valves open, the Rog valved cat-back gives the Cayenne S a present start-up and a frank sound with every burst of acceleration; with them closed, it becomes the restful big SUV of holiday departures once more.
The downpipe, with its catalytic converter, is ordered under the “Manifold” option. It is the only part that opens the way to more power, and only with an ECU remap; without one, you get sound and a little less mass. Of the sport downpipes, only the 200-cell version keeps emissions control.
About two hours on a lift, clamps and gaskets, no welding: the system installs without touching the V6. The Cayenne S’s factory valves stay controlled by the drive modes; if it has none, a Rog remote replaces them. Titanium around 40% lighter than 304 stainless steel for the same design, in brushed, gold or purple; three tip finishes to choose from, from chrome to blued titanium. The Cayenne 3.0, GTS and Turbo 9YA have their own page, and your VIN confirms yours.

Questions about the Porsche Cayenne S 9YA / 9YB 2.9 V6 biturbo exhaust.
Can my 2024 V8 Cayenne S take this system?
No: this page targets the Cayenne S 9YA with the 2.9-litre twin-turbo V6, from 2018 to 2023, and excludes the 2024 V8 version. Send us its VIN if you would like us to look at what exists for it.
What can an ECU remap bring to the Cayenne S 9YA’s V6?
With the downpipe, the map is what turns the freed-up flow into power. Our sources do not yet agree on the Stage 2 figure for this version, so we do not quote one; the cat-back alone has no effect on the ECU.
Which parts should be kept to present a modified Cayenne S 9YA at vehicle inspection?
Valves closed, plus the factory or 200-cell downpipe: that is how emissions control and a sound close to stock are preserved. The 100-cell case is settled according to the vehicle and your country’s rules, which accept it or not, and the decat version, reserved for track use, sits poorly with a family SUV.
How long does it take to receive a Cayenne S 9YA system?
Twenty working days separate the confirmation of your order from delivery, made-to-measure manufacturing included. Delivery is free and signed for, then a mechanic fits the exhaust in about two hours.
Does the Cayenne S Coupé 9YB take the same system as the SUV?
Yes. The Cayenne S 9YA and the Cayenne S Coupé 9YB take the same Rog system, with the same 2.9 twin-turbo V6 and the same fitting. Your VIN is only used to confirm the version and model year before manufacturing.
Porsche Cayenne S 9YA / 9YB 2.9 V6 biturbo: Does a valved exhaust system drone?
No. With the valves closed, the gases flow through the whole rear silencer and the cabin stays calm at a steady speed. Our Rog exhausts are designed to avoid drone. Learn more: Why our systems stay calm on the motorway.
