The Porsche Cayenne GTS 9YA / 9YB exhaust in detail.
In the 9YA generation, the Cayenne GTS returns to eight cylinders: a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8, 460 hp and 620 Nm, then 500 hp and 660 Nm for the 2024 model year, distributed to all four wheels. The massive torque, available very early, masks the SUV’s size. The Cayenne S and Turbo 9YA are covered on other pages; this one covers the GTS built since 2020, and your GTS’s VIN is checked before manufacturing.
Deep and low, this V8’s voice starts with a thick rumble at start-up and grows with load. From the factory, you only hear a distant, polished version, well short of the badge. With the valves open, the Rog cat-back lets the V8 take charge, a start-up heard from afar and a full rumble with every acceleration; with the valves closed, the GTS keeps the refinement of a premium SUV.
Under the “Manifold” option, the page also replaces the catalysed downpipe leaving the V8’s turbos. Only an ECU remap turns it into a power gain, and our page then puts the GTS at 640 hp, up from 460 hp, and 900 Nm in Stage 2. Without a map, it changes the voice, not the power, and the 200-cell version keeps emissions control intact.
Fitting is done under the SUV with clamps and gaskets, without welding, in about two hours; the GTS’s factory valves keep their control, and failing that, a Rog remote, with its unit housed in the boot, takes charge of them. Titanium, around 40% lighter than 304 stainless steel for the same design, can be chosen in brushed, gold or purple, for round tailpipes dressed in chrome, gloss black or blued titanium.

Questions about the Porsche Cayenne GTS 9YA / 9YB 4.0 V8 biturbo exhaust.
Is my 500 hp 2024 Cayenne GTS covered?
Yes, the page covers the GTS built since 2020 and its 4.0-litre V8 at 460 then 500 hp. The VIN, checked before manufacturing, confirms that the system matches your car.
Downpipe and map on the GTS 9YA: how far?
Our page quotes 640 hp and 900 Nm at Stage 2 for the 460 hp version, with a downpipe and a full ECU remap. The cat-back alone, for its part, works with the original ECU.
What should be planned for the vehicle inspection of a modified Cayenne GTS?
Closed valves, which bring the V8 back to a sound close to stock, and an original or 200-cell downpipe to keep emissions control. The 100-cell, accepted or not depending on the car and the rules in your country, calls for a prior check; a decat GTS is strictly a track-only proposition.
Does the Cayenne GTS Coupé 9YB take the same system as the SUV?
Yes. The Cayenne GTS 9YA and the Cayenne GTS Coupé 9YB take the same Rog system, with the same 4.0 twin-turbo V8 and the same fitting. The only exception: the centre-exit sports exhaust offered as an option on the Coupé (Lightweight Sports Package); your VIN lets us spot it before manufacturing.
Does a modified Cayenne GTS drone on the motorway with the family on board?
No, with the valves closed: the flow passes through the silencer chambers, designed for cruising, and the cabin stays calm at a constant speed. The V8 only makes itself heard when you open them.
