The Porsche Cayenne Coupé Turbo GT 9YB exhaust in detail.
The sportiest version of the Cayenne, the Coupé Turbo GT carries the 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 at 640 hp and 850 Nm, with all-wheel drive and a specifically tuned chassis. We document it as 9YB, coupé body, for cars built since 2022; the 550 hp Cayenne Turbo 9YA has its own page, and your VIN decides before manufacturing.
Such an engine has a powerful tone, that roll of eight cylinders in a vee that rumbles every time you lift off. On the stock Turbo GT, it stays polite, almost shy, out of keeping with the violence of its acceleration. With the valves open, the Rog cat-back lets you hear the eight cylinders under load, with a start-up that announces itself and present downshifts; with the valves closed, the coupé SUV becomes a hushed lounge again.
For the Turbo GT, the “Manifold” option actually refers to the catalysed downpipe placed at the turbo outlet. It only affects power with an ECU remap; without one, sound and a few kilos less. Among the sports downpipes, the 200-cell is the one that keeps emissions control.
Under the coupé body, the exhaust fits with clamps and gaskets in about two hours, no welding; the Turbo GT keeps the control of its factory valves, or receives the Rog remote if it has none. As for materials, titanium weighs around 40% less than 304 stainless steel for the same design and comes in brushed, gold or purple; the round tips come in chrome, gloss black or blued titanium.

Questions about the Porsche Cayenne Coupé Turbo GT 9YB 4.0 V8 biturbo exhaust.
Why does the page refer to 9YB for the Cayenne Turbo GT?
Because the Turbo GT only exists as a coupé body, which our source designates as 9YB, not 9YA. The 550 hp Cayenne Turbo 9YA has its own system; the VIN removes any ambiguity before manufacturing.
Does the Cayenne Turbo GT need an ECU remap to benefit from the downpipe?
Yes, it is the map that turns the flow into power. Our sources publish differing Stage 2 figures for the Turbo GT, so we quote none. The cat-back alone, for its part, works without any tuning.
Porsche Cayenne Coupé Turbo GT 9YB V8 4.0 biturbo with a Rog exhaust: what should you know about vehicle inspection?
With the valves closed, it regains the hushed discretion of the standard car. The factory or 200-cell downpipe keeps emissions control. For a 100-cell downpipe, the answer depends on the vehicle and your country’s rules, which accept it or not; stripped of its catalytic converter, the Turbo GT becomes a car reserved for track use.
Does the Turbo GT stay comfortable day to day with the system?
Yes, provided you keep the valves closed: the silencer, designed for cruising, prevents any resonance at a steady speed. The V8 only speaks when you ask it to.
Porsche Cayenne Coupé Turbo GT 9YB 4.0 V8 biturbo: Does a valved exhaust system drone?
No. With the valves closed, the gases flow through the whole rear silencer and the cabin stays calm at a steady speed. Our Rog exhausts are designed to avoid drone. Learn more: Why our systems stay calm on the motorway.
