The Porsche Panamera / Sport Turismo 971 3.0 exhaust in detail.
The entry point to the Panamera 971, the single-turbo 3.0-litre V6 produces 330 hp and 450 Nm, with torque available very early for strong pick-up even at moderate speeds. Less spectacular than the V8s in the range, it offers a fine balance for grand touring use. Our page covers 2017 and 2018; the Panamera 4 is not specified there, and your VIN decides before manufacturing.
Its voice is deeper than you would expect, with a hoarse grain that asserts itself under acceleration and the whoosh of the turbo in the background. The factory exhaust reduces it to a distant presence, and the car seems smoother than it really is. With the valves open, the Rog cat-back gives it a start-up with real presence and expressive downshifts; with the valves closed, the Panamera goes back to its role as a touring saloon.
On this single-turbo V6, the “Manifold” option corresponds to the catalysed downpipe that follows the turbine. With an ECU remap, our page publishes 430 hp and 720 Nm at Stage 2 for this V6; without a map, the part changes the voice and a little of the mass, not the power. With 200 cells, emissions control stays as it was from the factory.
Fitting is done under the saloon with clamps and gaskets, without welding, in about two hours. A 971 delivered with valves keeps their control through the driving modes, whereas a car without valves gets the Rog remote. Titanium, around 40% lighter, or rounder-sounding 304 stainless steel: the choice depends on use; the former comes in brushed, gold or purple, and the tips come in chrome, gloss black or blued titanium.

Questions about the Porsche Panamera / Sport Turismo 971 3.0 V6 turbo exhaust.
My Panamera 971 V6 dates from 2019: does this 3.0 page apply to it?
Our page only documents 2017 and 2018 for this 3.0-litre V6. For a newer car, the VIN will tell us which page matches it, for example the one for the 2.9-litre twin-turbo V6, before any manufacturing.
Does the Panamera 971’s V6 3.0 respond to an ECU remap?
Yes, and clearly so: our page lists 430 hp and 720 Nm at Stage 2 with the downpipe, an extra 270 Nm of torque. The cat-back alone, ordered without a front section, requires no map.
The Panamera 971 3.0 fitted with the system has to go through the vehicle inspection: what is the procedure?
With the valves closed, it regains the refined silence of the standard car, and with the factory or 200-cell downpipe its emissions control stays intact. As for the 100-cell, everything depends on the vehicle and your country’s rules, which accept it or not, and a 971 stripped of its catalytic converter is suitable for track use only.
How long does it take to receive a Panamera 971 3.0 system?
The system is built for your car, based on the verified VIN: 20 working days separate confirmation from delivery, with free delivery handed over against signature.
Does the Panamera Sport Turismo take the same system as the saloon?
Yes. The Panamera 971 and the Panamera Sport Turismo take the same Rog system, with the same engine and the same clamp-and-gasket fitting. The long-wheelbase Executive versions are not covered. Your VIN confirms the version before manufacturing.
Porsche Panamera / Sport Turismo 971 3.0 V6 turbo: Does a valved exhaust system drone?
No. With the valves closed, the gases flow through the whole rear silencer and the cabin stays calm at a steady speed. Our Rog exhausts are designed to avoid drone. Learn more: Why our systems stay calm on the motorway.
