Which valved exhaust for a Porsche Panamera 976 V6?
The Rog system for the Porsche Panamera 976 V6 2.9 biturbo (from 2024) is a valved cat-back exhaust in 304 stainless steel or titanium, built to your VIN for the 353 hp, 500 Nm V6, with its turbos in the centre of the vee. Valves open, the V6 lets a more present rumble be heard as the revs rise; closed, the Panamera keeps its hushed ride.
Sound, options and fitting in detail: our Porsche Panamera 976 guide.
The Panamera type 976 opens the third generation of Porsche’s grand tourer. Its entry version, built since 2024, relies on a 2.9-litre twin-turbo V6 with the turbos in the centre of the vee: 353 hp and 500 Nm, torque available early that gives the saloon remarkable ease. The Panamera 970 and 971 have their own pages, and your VIN confirms the generation before manufacturing.
This engine has a real voice, deep and full, which takes on a sportier tone as the revs rise; the factory exhaust deliberately keeps it discreet, and the car mostly lets you hear its hushed rolling. With the valves open, the Rog cat-back lets the V6 rev audibly, with a more present rumble at start-up; with the valves closed, the Panamera regains the calm that is its strength.
For this generation, the page sells the cat-back alone, with no front section option: the 976’s downpipes are dedicated parts that we do not offer. The factory catalytic converter therefore stays in place, and without an ECU remap the benefit is in sound and weight, not mechanical.
Fitting in about two hours, clamps and gaskets, no welding. The factory valve control is retained when the saloon has it; otherwise, the Rog remote operates the valves. As for the material, 304 stainless steel or titanium, around 40% lighter for the same design and offered in brushed, gold or purple; the round tips come in chrome, gloss black or blued titanium.

Questions about the Porsche Panamera 976 2.9 V6 biturbo exhaust.
Why no downpipe for the Panamera 976?
Because this generation uses dedicated downpipes that we do not cover: we only document those of the 970. Rather than an uncertain part, the page sells the cat-back, which carries the valves and most of the change in sound.
After fitting, does the Panamera 976 need a trip to a tuner?
No. The cat-back works with the original engine management and does not touch the ECU; no Stage 2 figure is published on our page for this version.
Porsche Panamera 976 V6 2.9 biturbo with a Rog exhaust: what should you know about vehicle inspection?
With the factory catalytic converter remaining in place, emissions control is not altered; simply close the valves to return to a sound close to stock. As the page sells no front section, neither 100-cell nor decat versions come into play.
My Panamera 976 is a V8: does this page apply to me?
No, it targets the 976 with the 353 hp 2.9-litre twin-turbo V6, and our data does not allow the V8 to be added to it. Send us your VIN so we can look at what exists.
Porsche Panamera 976 2.9 V6 biturbo: Does a valved exhaust system drone?
No. With the valves closed, the gases flow through the whole rear silencer and the cabin stays calm at a steady speed. Our Rog exhausts are designed to avoid drone. Learn more: Why our systems stay calm on the motorway.
